MYMEDIA.TXT
i've always been too lazy to log every single thing i watch or read, so i've compiled everything into this webpage. reviews and log on the side where i can add my notes without the need for witty one liners or deep analysis for viewing on letterboxd

MYMEDIA is mostly for my all-timers and the consumption log is for more recents.
SHOWS
critical role (2015-present)

i dont think i can put into words how much i LOVE this show. i started watching critical role in 2021 (probably WAY too young to be watching it at the time, but whatever) and it's never really left my brain since then. i started with the mighty nein, averaging like 4 or 5 episodes a week at my peak, which is crazy considering i was in school for like eight hours a day. critical role was my teenage girl special media. this was the shit i talked about to my uninterested friends at recess, who i drew fanart of on whiteboards and stayed up late watching clip compilations of and reading fanfiction. holy shit i love critical role. it introduced me to d&d, the friends i made through d&d, fan culture, and in a way, made me feel more comfortable expressing myself and my interests.
bocchi the rock! (anime, 2022)

in my mind i like to think im like bocchi, but im not good at the guitar and im pretty social. that being said, it's incredible how bocchi the rock is able to connect with so many people simply by illustrating the desire to be a part of a group, a community, and doing what you love. the characters are so distinct and unique while still forming a great group of friends that play to each other's strengths and weaknesses. ive always had a soft spot for bocchi ever since i binged it in a night while i was really sick lol. the soundtrack and original songs are also so FREAKING PEAK actually holy shit these have integrated themselves into my regular playlists. i am so fucking excited for season 2 hopefully itll still be good under a new director !!
MUSIC
the last dinner party

guahh i found these guys through spotify shuffle (and NOT the sims trailer with nothing matters unfortunately i dont play the sims) but ive been listening to them since arounddddd 2024? TLDP has absolutely amazing sound in both their albums; i think what drew me to them initially was their super unique aesthetic and style not only musically but visually as well. I was fortunate enough to see them live in 2026 for their From the Pyre tour (with florence road holy freaking moly!!!!!) and i dont think i'll ever forget the experience. Abigal has such an amazing stage presence, probably one of the best frontwomen in music right now. Both albums (Prelude to Ecstasy, From the Pyre) go so fucking hard with basically no skippable tracks (yes even woman is a tree and ghuja, they are such beautiful transition tracks) im suuuper looking forward to what they put out in the future and best believe i WILL be seeing them on tour again
